I have been seeing Cindy for over 3 years now! When it comes to deep tissue massage I have a difficult time finding a masseuse who can get deep enough to relieve my tight muscle fibers. Cindy surpasses my expectations every time!
Deep … More tissue massage will leave you sore the next day (that is how you know it actually did something), but by the second day the relief is AMAZING. So expect this if you choose her technique.
Moon massage is also very accommodating to me calling last minute, after a long day, and getting in to see her quickly.
People have commented on here about the curtains and communication throughout the building. Usually Cindy has me so relaxed that I barely notice this.
My husband suffer from persistent back pain and I recently took him with me for a couples deep tissue massage. Im new-ish to the Knoxville area and this was my first time trying moon-massage. Before moving here, I would get massages every 2 weeks from the same person who really worked my muscles and knots out. Many places I've tried are charging crazy amounts for deep tissue and will tack on an extra charge if you ask them for deep pressure (even though you’ve already paid for a deep tissue!). I found Moon massage online after a terrible night of sleep and waking up in pain. They had a same-day opening and their pricing was reasonable so I thought I’d try it out.
When I arrived to my appointment, they requested payment prior to services (they take cash and credit) and got me back to a room immediately. While the rooms are private, they have curtains instead of doors so you are able to hear people talking in other rooms and when they arrive for their appointments. This did NOT bother me in the slightest, but if you’re someone looking for complete silence, you won’t get that here.
I received a 90-minute deep tissue massage from Clover. She first asked how much pressure I liked and periodically check up on me and asked if she needed to adjust it. I’m the type who likes very deep pressure to work out underlying knots and get relief. Clover was AMAZING at maintaining pressure throughout the massage and finding those knots without me even having to tell her. She was professional and very good at relieving tension throughout my appointment. Their pricing is very fair and reasonable- I will definitely be back for future massages. Thank you, Clover! -
